May God help, my dear brothers and sisters,
As most of you have already heard, our spiritual future in the current Church we use in Dublin has suddenly and completely changed. Unfortunately, the doors of that Church are now partially closed to us. I honestly do not know the reason for this, nor is anyone obligated to justify it to us. We thank them for everything they have done for us so far, for all the years we’ve spent in the Church.
As I said, those doors have started to close, but the Lord God has opened other doors for us, which are truly wide open.
I honestly, my dear brothers and sisters, only ever dreamed, imagined, and fantasized about such an opportunity to invite all of you, people of good will, to take part in a truly great endeavor and a great joy. This is the opportunity to purchase our Holy Temple. With faith in God and your sincere support, I invite all of you to be Patrons and Donors in purchasing the first and only (for now) Serbian Orthodox Church in Ireland and on this island. This is, my dear brothers and sisters, primarily a great blessing from God and a great joy for all of us, as we can be part of a new era, a new history for all of us Orthodox Serbs.
Please, keep in mind and in your hearts that whenever the Holy Liturgy is served, and at the Great Entrance, the priests pray for the “Patrons and Donors of this Holy Temple,” and you have been given the blessing to inscribe your names in that same book of donors and patrons. The Temple that has been offered for purchase by the Catholic Church is located exactly 39 km from Dublin Airport, in a place called Mornington, Co. Meath.
Let us not, as we are often prone to do, make excuses for not responding to this Divine call. Let us not allow this historical opportunity to become one of those life situations where we find reasons to justify ourselves and not be part of it.
Its very important when you are making donation to put down your full name and surname, and to state purpose buying a Church.
With faith in Christ,
Father Mladen Gardovic
